FMDV acts through three principal lines of work:
Deploy demand-driven financial engineering solutions, at all scales of action

• International and regional Experts Directory & Catalogue of strategies, engineering and mechanisms adapted to financing and local economical development needs
• Financial hubs (national or regional units of expertise on subnational financing: empowerment, expertise on institutional environments, strategy and engineering, support for project preparation and transactions)
• Communities of practices, Expert Meetings, targeted Trainings
• City Funding Corporation (a company co-created with EDII, providing financial engineering services such as refinancing, debt negotiation, bond issuing preparation, PPPs montage)
Create enabling institutional environments, and stakeholders convergence to accelerate solution implementation and scaling

FMDV here positions itself as a Knowledge Hub, and as a permanent incubator of operational strategies (Policy-Action Lab).
