Over a time span of a few years the Filmemacher Deutschland Group has progressed into a high- quality community. Initially the group started with 10 members, but now comprises more than 21.000 filmmakers and photographers. In order to increase reach and influence, this Filmemacher Deutschland Fanpage was established. Daily posts with a focus on filmmaking & Co. reach an audience of 1.2 million people. By transforming the community-based project into Filmemacher GmbH a platform with the necessary professionalism was established to increase the leverage of the “Filmemacher Deutschland” brand.

Facebook is the most crucial platform for the community – via the Facebook fan group and the fan page interested users receive information on film making and related topics on a daily basis. The average weekly reach of the Facebook fanpage amounts to 200,000 unique users, with an average of 120,000 users interacting weekly.
The average weekly maximum total reach is around 1.2million impressions. This is achieved through posting five to six posts daily on the Facebook page. In addition, the Facebook fan group receives 40 to 50 new membership requests each day.
