FCS Talking Therapies exists to relieve sickness and distress through the provision of talking therapies. We are a mental health charity based in Faversham, Kent and provide services across the whole of the Kent area.
Our work has four main parts:
Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (FCSTT IAPT), a free NHS service providing CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), CTfD (Couples Therapy for Depression) and other short-term evidence-based treatments.
Low-Cost Therapy
Private Therapy
Training and development for counsellors
As a registered charity we need to show our public benefit objectives and ours are:
Prevent and relieve sickness and distress through the provision of professional counselling.
Advance education and training for counsellors with a view to raising the standards of counselling for the benefit of the community.
Faversham Community Counselling (FCC) is a subdivision of Faversham Counselling Service, providing a range of therapies for individual mental health difficulties. This service is provided on a low-cost basis and is formed of both student and newly qualified counsellors. All counsellors are supervised, DBS checked and practice according to the BACP Ethical Framework.
