The FAU Digital Tech Academy is the overarching HUB for digitization and entrepreneurship. Our goal is to scale and professionalize the digital entrepreneurship endeavors at the FAU. We also want to integrate existing (extra-)curricular offerings and provide novel formats with charisma and leverage. On top of that we will frame, harmonize and build a central platform for all offerings in the field of "Digital Entrepreneurship".
The FAU Digital Tech Academy consists of two main pillars:
1) Digital Tech Fellows One year elite program for entrepreneurial and tech talents at FAU, educating future digital changemakers. Every semester 25 top talents from all faculties and study levels at the FAU are selected and will work on challenge-based innovation projects, which come either from industry partners or from the students themselves. The students will learn hands-on knowledge in workshops coverin topics such as:
• Trend analysis / reports
• Design thinking
• Product development
• Service design
• Business model generation
• Customer validation
• Business model pitch
• Breakout feedback sessions with industry partners
At the end of the program, each student team will present their challenge on a final demo day with:
• Iterated Prototype
• Validated Business Model
• Validated Market Potential
• Validated Financial Plan
2) Digital Tech Inspire The goals is to create new innovative and interdisciplinary teaching / qualification formats, fostering digitization , entrepreneurship and innovation skills through:
• Developing train-the-trainer modules for eight fundamentally revised innovation methods
• Target group-specific events for the open dialogue between entrepreneurship research and practice
• Train-the-trainer programs that engage digital entrepreneurs conveying profile building skills
