Providing a high quality NEPT service to our NHS trust partners and patients since 1998. Now England's largest, independent provider of non-emergency patient transport. E-zec currently has 500+ vehicles, 1,500+ employees.
The business was started in 1998 with only one vehicle, working with various insurance companies to repatriate people who had become ill while on holiday abroad. Re-investing all profit back into the business, E-zec soon established a foothold in the Non Emergency Patient Transport Service (NEPTS) which quickly saw the business and workforce grow.
Since 1998 E-zec has mobilised and operated 18 NEPT services and currently hold 14 NHS contracts with various CCGs and NHS Trusts across the UK. The services operated range from small acute trusts (conveying up to 30,000 journeys per annum), dedicated high dependency ambulances covering a 24/7 period, to countywide services like Staffordshire, conveying up to 180,000 journeys per annum for all patients registered with a Staffordshire registered GP.
At present E-zec employs over 1,500 road and office personnel, from Ambulance Care Assistants to Paramedics and is contracted to 11 Clinical Commissioning Groups/NHS Trusts across the UK. In 2016 E-zec mobilised seven NEPT services, and went from just 6,000 journeys to 180,000 journeys per annum.
E-zec operates from 30 bases across the UK, conveying over 1,000,000 journeys in total, per annum.
2021 saw a buy-out and change of personnel at board level right through senior management. 2022 will bring structural, financial and operational change.
