Experience Hampton, Inc. (EHI) was formed in 2010 with the initial purpose of bringing back a Christmas Parade to Hampton. The founders were Matt Henderson, Judy DuBois, Marilyn Henderson, Desi Lanio and John Tinios.
This small group quickly expanded to involve over 100 volunteers and a successful parade was organized for December 4, 2010. Experience Hampton, Inc. has sponsored the annual Christmas Parade ever since.
The mission of Experience Hampton, Inc. is to organize, promote and manage events and projects in Hampton and the general vicinity that improve and benefit the community. In keeping with that mission EHI has sponsored the Flags and Flowers program, distributing American flags at the Memorial Day parade and organizing flower barrels along Route 1 for the last three years.
EHI also was the sponsoring organization for the Hampton Restaurant Week every year and has partnered with the Hampton Parks and Recreation Department on several other events.
