European Union Mission In Armenia

Who are we? The EU Mission in Armenia is a non-executive, non-armed civilian mission. We consist up to 103 unarmed civilian monitors from the European Union (EU). What do we do? The EU Mission in Armenia ( EUMA) is tasked to observe and report on the security situation along the Armenian side of the international border with Azerbaijan. Our daily activity is to conduct patrols on the Armenian side of the international Armenia-Azerbaijan border and to report our findings back to Brussels. We aim to contribute to human security in conflict-affected areas in Armenia and contribute to build confidence between Armenia and Azerbaijan. EUMA is an essential component of the EU’s efforts in supporting peace process in the region. Where are we? EUMA is deployed on the Armenian side of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border. Mission Headquarters are in Yeghegnadzor, with six operational hubs, allowing it to cover the mission operating area, and a Support and Liaison office in Yerevan.
