The company was established in August 2001 and is the unification between two prominent Greek Shipping Companies of DILESHIP MARINE CORP and J G GOUMAS (SHIPPING) CO LTD. The two companies represent over 100 years of experience in the shipping industry. In an age where shipping markets flow from calm to gale force with lightning speed the efficiency of operations and a closely managed team approach are a must. The combined resources and experience of the two companies have minimized costs, streamlined operations and improved communication in an ever-competitive industry. Through its affiliated companies, covering chartering operations, contract work and ships operations the company is represented in Greece, Denmark, Australia and the Philippines with a dedicated and experienced team of resident professionals. The company’s core activity is the specialization in the deep-sea bulk trade operating a modern fleet with up to date equipment ensuring maximum flexibility, timed delivery, fast and efficient cargo handling. Equinox Maritime has been concentrating on Supramax and Ultramax vessels and is looking to increase its fleet size with further new building contracts of new eco designs and second hand tonnage.
