Engaged Education is a group of people who are focusing on the human behavior of youth, and their education, with an emphasis on focusing on the student as a whole person. Building confidence, communication skills, leadership, and setting a vision for one's life are primary focuses of our educational model.
We support schools in a variety of ways, including all back-office support, hiring, professional development, curriculum development, the formation of strategic partnerships with area businesses and nonprofits, the use of our cloud-based operating system, MyEngagedOS, and more. Our flagship school is LifeTech Academy, a cyber public charter school.
Learners at LifeTech Academy complete hands-on project-based coursework that align with their interests. Learners gain real-world experience by engaging with experts in their field of interest, while simultaneously demonstrating competency in their requirements for graduation.
At LifeTech, a Learner who wants to become a cosmetologist, and doesn’t understand how chemistry or math apply to them, will spend time learning at a cosmetology school mixing chemicals and dyes. They will quickly learn that if the chemicals are not mixed properly, the dye will be purple instead of blonde, or could burn someone - This is why chemistry is important to them. Similarly, to be a cosmetologist, that Learner will one day own a chair and will need to be able to understand and produce a P&L - This is why math applies to them. This concept of project-based learning makes the educational experience relevant and interesting to that Learner.
