The Emergency Food Bank is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization that has, since 1968, provided San Joaquin County residents with food assistance. The mission of the Emergency Food Bank is to build a stronger community by providing a safety net of healthy food, nutrition education, and hope to residents of San Joaquin County who find themselves in need.
The Emergency Food Bank - is dedicated to fighting hunger and food hardship throughout San Joaquin County. Every weekday, the Emergency Food Bank provides essential and nutritious food items to families and individuals that visit our Main Pantry. The Mobile Farmer's Market Program travels to sites throughout San Joaquin County to educate residents about health and nutrition, and also provide fresh seasonal produce to participating residents. CalFresh and healthcare coverage enrollment assistance is also available during the work week. To promote overall health and wellness, we can assist residents in need of healthcare coverage enrollment and utilization.
Join us every Thanksgiving for our Run and Walk Against Hunger - a 5K run/walk, 10K run, and quarter mile kids run. It is an annual Thanksgiving morning tradition that benefits the Emergency Food Bank and helps bring awareness about hunger in our local community.
