The Electronic Music Appreciation Society (EMAS) is an active, nonprofit society of university students celebrating the vibrant and diverse culture of electronic music and fosters a community centred on this aim. With a membership base of over 4500 students, EMAS is one of the largest and most active university clubs in the state. As an organisation affiliated with the University of Western Australia, the club has existed continuously since 1996. However, since 2011, EMAS has undergone a radical and exciting expansion into its current state, putting it at the forefront of the student experience in WA. In 2014, the EMAS organization expanded to Curtin University in an effort to boost cross campus student culture.
