Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) was established in August 2001, by virtue of the Prime Ministerial Decree Number 1009 of 2001, as an entity mandated to organize and diligently handle the various activities related to the Egyptian Natural Gas resources.
EGAS by itself, or through its 38 subsidiaries and affiliated companies, is engaged in a wide range of Upstream, Midstream and Downstream activities to develop the Natural Gas business in Egypt with an ambitious vision of Egypt becoming a pre-eminent Natural Gas hub in the Mediterranean region and worldwide.
