The Edinburgh Centre for Data, Culture & Society aims to support data-led research across the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. As new technologies enable us to develop novel methods, scale up our questions, and tackle interdisciplinary challenges, research is moving in exciting directions. We will help our community stay at the forefront of developments in data-driven research, and highlight the vital contributions our researchers have to make to contemporary cultural debates and social issues.
Alongside seminars, training, supporting access to resources, and events, we will be organising pop-up research clusters, hacks, funding calls, socials, and more. We will develop and change over time: our ethos is to be dynamic, flexible and responsive.
If you’d like to work with us, have data-led research issues we can help with, or have ideas about what you’d like to see happening, please get in touch.
