Eco Group: Garden Center Grup & Eco Horticultura

Eco Horticultura started its activity in 1998 by producing and selling dendrological material; it then owned a 20,000 sq. m nursery surface in Bucharest, in the Militari area. Taking advantage of its own production as well as of the work of a professional team of architects, designers and engineers, Eco Horticultura has successfully approached landscape architecture, soon becoming a leader in this field on the Romanian market. Through the efficient exploitation of these opportunities, the company has continued on this ascending trend aiming simultaneously at the consolidation of the already existing activities and at the tackling of further areas: sports terrain turfing, installations of irrigation, artesian wells, urban furniture delivery/assembling, illumination systems, urban playing grounds and urban fitness devices delivery/assembling, tree gardening services, utilitarian climbing and infrastructure works (asphalting, canalization, support walls). Thus, the newly adopted fields of activity have allowed our company to provide in a relatively short period of time a full range of services in the area of landscape architecture. Consequently, the “ECO” group of companies has now come to own its own nursery totalling 400,000 sq. m (from which 20,000 sq. m are greenhouses), 100,000 sq. m of greensward rolls, 4 show-rooms and over 600 employees. The Eco Horticultura portofolio comprises: 200 set up parks (in Buchares and, but also all over the country), about 1,500 gardens, the arrangement of over 150 urban playing grounds and about 4,500 pieces of urban furniture. The implementation of a rigorous quality management system has been a major preoccupation for Eco Horticultura. It hence obtained the certifications of ISO 9001:2000 standard, system certified by SGS Romania and by the Romanian Society for the Quality Management as well as OHSAS and environmental certifications.
