East Renfrewshire Council provides a range of public services to approximately 94,000 residents. Our vision is to be a modern, ambitious council creating a fairer future with all. Based 20 minutes from Glasgow, the area includes the towns of Barrhead, Clarkston, Giffnock and Newton Mearns, and the neighbourhood centres of Busby, Eaglesham, Neilston, Netherlee, Thornliebank, Williamwood, Uplawmoor and Waterfoot. We have 18 councillors representing five multi-member wards and the administration is a coalition of the Scottish National Party (SNP), Labour Party and one Independent.
