East Barnet is an extremely popular school, with a very loyal community of staff, students and parents and a fantastic learning ethos. Our "I want to learn" and "Do the right thing" philosophy has attracted interest from all over the world, and our innovative 'Triple E' curriculum was recently praised in an Ofsted case study into 'Good Practice Schools'. Additionally, we have received a number of awards in recognition of our personal and professional development of staff, including a Gold Award from Investors in People.
Over the past few years, we have hosted lectures from some of the most eminent Professors in the country and received visits from highly influential individuals and groups across a range of industry sectors that have inspired the East Barnet community. We are proud of the opportunities we offer to our students and the support we provide throughout their entire educational journey.
In 2010, East Barnet School was completely rebuilt, resulting in a new ‘21st Century’ state-of-the-art building, officially opened in March 2011 by HRH The Duke of Gloucester. The new building has modern facilities and creates experiences that match the talents, abilities and aspirations of students and teachers alike; indeed the school confidently extends and continues to develop its “I want to learn” culture way beyond the threshold of the building and into the wider school community.
