To engage, excite, inspire, stimulate and provoke the audience through the creation and touring of original high quality mixed-media dance theatre performance. To enable public participation
within a comprehensive, dynamic and sensitive educational education and participation programme.
Earthfall was formed in 1989 by Jessica Cohen and Jim Ennis with a policy of forging radical choreography with live music and strong visual imagery.
The company rapidly established itself as an outstanding exponent of pioneering dance theatre. Earthfall’s issue based work is concerned with seeking a personal honesty, passion and economy in physical performance to produce quality work of depth. Earthfall has performed throughout the world in many major festivals and has featured on numerous TV and Radio broadcasts.
The company has received several awards for its live performance and film work, including the BAFTA Cymru Award winner for Best Short Film for Too Old To Dream and have been nominated for a BAFTA Cymru Award for Best Short Film in 2010 for GRAVITAS - POSTCARDS.
Earthfall are financially supported by the Arts Council of Wales and the Lottery Division of the Arts Council of Wales. Earthfall also recieves funding from The Foyle Foundation and Touring Support from the Arts Council of England.
Earthfall are members of the Independent Theatre Council and Dance UK and are affiliates of Bath Spa University.
