Extra Support For Families

EXTRA aims to help parents/carers develop their skills to bring out the best in their children, reduce conflict in the home, improve family relationships and build confidence and emotional wellbeing to cope with future challenges. EXTRA also acts as a central agency to co-ordinate the provision of parenting support throughout Tendring and North Essex. Our termly Parenting Platform is open to agencies working with families to share information on current provision and find ways to provide what is needed in the area. Our SEND provision supports parents/carers of children with additional needs, through programmes such as our SWAN course and targeted workshops.
