ENTO was initiated in response to a demand for a low-cost, low-maintenance product, using cutting-edge technology on the Sigfox and LoRaWAN networks. To achieve this, we use an innovative, new technology called the ‘Internet of Things’ (IoT). Instead of only being able to connect a device to a network, the IoT allows us to connect a multitude of devices together in one, interconnected network. ENTO can deliver a network of smart sensors, operating on Sigfox, LoRaWAN or a private network, to capture in real-time, the status of assets, to monitor the environment and ensure personal health and safety.
Our Crikit devices can monitor, and report in real-time the GPS location of an asset, whether a door or gate is open or closed, orientation of assets (to see if anything is out of alignment), and the temperature of each asset. The Crikit design also allows for an external sensor to be plugged in, to monitor additional factors, including air pressure, humidity and soil moisture.
Initially, the Crikit devices were developed for monitoring and alerting traffic light alignment in Christchurch as a result of the number of large construction vehicles manoeuvring in tight city streets. Since then, ENTO has worked collaboratively with a local Christchurch electronics firm to design and develop the Crikit device. Spark have been very supportive with our IoT solution, and we have worked closely with their customers on proof of concept client trials.
Our team has put in an incredible amount of time and effort into perfecting our devices. We hope that any potential clients come on this journey with us, while we continue to innovate the way we can monitor and keep track of our assets.
