Founded in 1989, European Marketing Distribution is today the leading European retail alliance of independent retailers. The alliance of 15 members, bundling 500 players in the grocery retail sector in 16 countries, covers 150.000 points of sales, cumulating a potential consumer turnover of 142 billion Euro. The cooperation between the members of EMD and their affiliated retail organizations creates attractive and competitive conditions for the independent European grocery retailers.
