Elvo, as the historical partner of the Greek Army and state authorities for almost half a century, has a proven track record of assembling and manufacturing capabilities of both military, civilian, and special use vehicles. Furthermore, it has been amongst the few Greek companies investing in R&D, delivering and producing original designs, like the Leonidas -1 and Leonidas -2 Armored Personnel Carriers in 1980 and 1987, respectively, with the latter being produced in hundreds, or the Armored Infantry Fighting Vehicle “Kentaurus”, in 1998.
The new ELVO 2020 S.A. stays true to this core value of continuous evolvement; reinvigorated this time by the equal investment of two of the most prominent in the defense and special use vehicles industry companies: Plasan and SK Group
Plasan with headquarters in Israel and subsidiaries in the US and Europe. is a leading, recognized innovator and provider of customized armor solutions worldwide.
Plasan combines R&D, design, vehicle styling, prototyping, enhanced simulation capabilities, ballistic testing facilities and live blast test ranges as well as manufacturing capabilities, all under one roof.
The SK Group is a privately held technology and innovation holding company specializing in global frontline defense, and para-military solutions, marine infrastructures and property development.
Today, the SK Group addresses battlefield, border and urban frontlines, forming a foundation for a roadmap that is steadily progressing across the 5D defense universe.
Under the new management team, the whole of the facilities has been refurbished, putting emphasis on the introduction of automations that optimize the assembly process, as well as on the investment in hi-tech solutions that diminish each task’s completion time and zero down the human error factor.
At the same time, through the introduction of ESG criteria, ELVO 2020 invests into solutions that decrease its environmental footprint and build upon sustainability.
