ELSA (Environmental Life cycle and Sustainability Assessment) is a research group for life cycle assessment and industrial ecology.
It gathers researchers, professors and students from different research labs and post-graduate institutions from the Languedoc region (France). Member of ELSA benefit from the shared expertise and corporate knowledge within the group.
The platform’s purpose is to stimulate research and transfer to industries in eco-technologies applied to biomass for energy, agricultural and food products, wastewater management, agricultural technology, water, territory…
Members of ELSA work together to:
* Develop interaction & communication with industrial partners, consultants or government institutions.
* Provide graduate and vocational training.
* Disseminate scientific knowledge through workshops, seminars, etc…
* Publish new scientific results.
ELSA has been created in 2008 and thanks to the support and funding of the Languedoc-Roussillon region. This multidisciplinary group has been created by five funding organisms (CIRAD, Ecole des Mines d’Alès, INRA, Irstea, Montpellier SupAgro).
