Founded to help deliver the important missions of promoting, across Europe, excellence and parity in the care of patients with cardiac arrhythmias, the European Cardiac Arrhythmia Society (ECAS) has enjoyed 12 years of growing activity and has established itself in the international academic arena.
ECAS is the first independent European Society dedicated to the field of cardiac arrhythmias or heart rhythm disturbances. Its main mission is to promote excellence in the care of patients with cardiac arrhythmias by improving the education of physicians and allied professionals in charge of arrhythmia patients.
ECAS was founded in 2004 by a group of opinion leaders belonging to 11 European Countries who recognized that the educational, research and logistic needs in the field of cardiac arrhythmia are not appropriately fulfilled in Europe.
There was an essential need in Europe to have an independent society, composed of physicians, scientists and allied professionals throughout Europe and other countries throughout the World whose mission and goals are devoted to the field of cardiac arrhythmias.
