Founded in 2008, the Dwight Hall Socially Responsible Investment Fund (DHSRI) at Yale is the oldest undergraduate-run SRI fund in the country. DHSRI currently manages over $200,000 of Yale's endowment, and our committee of over 20 Yale College students employs a modern investment approach that aims to have positive environmental and social impacts while outperforming standard investment benchmarks.
In 2016, DSHRI became the first student-run fund to file on a shareholder resolution, and we have continued to engage with a number of Fortune 500 companies ever since. DHSRI also hosted the inaugural Student Conference for Corporate Responsibility (SCCR) in 2019, bringing together speakers and students from over 22 universities to build a coalition of undergraduate investment funds for the purpose of corporate responsibility and shareholder engagement.
