Durham Capital Advisors’ principals have extensive operations, transaction, implementation and board level experience in Asia, beginning in 1994 with the investment, development and exit from one of the very earliest real estate investments in post-war Vietnam. Our team’s competency extend to both listed and non-listed companies across the region – and with country specific experience in China, Japan, Hong Kong, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and India. The team’s unparalleled exposure extends to a wide range of industries including tertiary education & English language training, fund management, consumer electronic manufacturing, telecom, real estate, paper, animal feed, seafood processing, steel, taxi transport, bulk shipping, cinema media, and automotive assembly. In 2007 the principals of Durham Capital Advisors developed and managed the post-investment Portfolio Operations practice within the Prudential Alternative Assets Business. The Portfolio Operations team was responsible for: portfolio asset management across 20 investees with AUM of roughly US$400 million; beginning with transaction due-diligence support; monitoring investee companies’ ongoing performance; providing operational and strategic leadership; operations improvement and valuations; and ultimately driving them toward logical and timely exit objectives.
