Dugong Films

The Dugong is a large marine mammal belonging to the Sirenia order. Some believe that dugongs were the inspiration for ancient sea-faring tales of mermaids and sirens. From this creature Dugong Film takes its name. We are a Roma based audiovisual production company established in 2010. We love to research beyond boundaries, formats and genres and we believe in teamwork, this is why our space is not just a studio but a creative laboratory with the aim to co-produce new projects, in an international framework. Dugong’s specific strategy of finding talent, innovative projects, and working only on projects for an international market has proved extremely successful. Dugong productions have been shown in festivals such as Cannes (Samouni Road 2018, That Which is To Come is Just a Promise 2019) Venice (Atlantide 2021, Il Palazzo 2021, Tony Driver 2019, Controfigura 2017), Toronto (Mon Amour Mon Ami 2017) Locarno (The Challenge 2016) Rotterdam (Whipping Zombie 2017, Gold Is All There Is 2019), and were exhibited in art galleries such as Tate Modern in London or Art Basel.  Have a look on our productions at www.dugong.it
