Driven and Empowered Youth, Inc. (DEY) is a charitable nonprofit organization committed to serving the youth, their families and the community. DEY was recently awarded two state issued grants to fund their programs under the Illinois State Board of Education’s 21st Century Community Learning Centers Grant. Through these grants, DEY is able to provide quality after school programming, mentoring and enrichment programs at six inner city Chicago Public High Schools. Currently, DEY works with Amundsen, Kelvyn Park, Foreman, Mather, Steinmetz and Sullivan High Schools.
The 21st CCLC funding allows DEY to offer supportive academic services which included tutoring, PSAE/ACT Test Prep, homework assistance as well as diverse enrichment activities that promote positive social skills. DEY strives to provide the ultmost quality programming to our students and their families.
