Dragon Production & it's founder/choreographer Maggie Boogaart:
After her education as contemporary dancer & choreographer at London Contemporary Dance School (London), Boogaart intensively studied the expressive possibilities of the body at the Martha Graham School (NYC). She worked as a dancer, trainee and/or guest-choreographer with 16 modern dance companies in the Netherlands (Beppie Blankert, Aukje Gorter), New York City (Ann Carlson, Suki John, Jeanette Stoner) and Spain (Mudances and Carmen Senra) as well as fusion-projects with, among others, a traditional South-Indian dance company, theatre companies and fashion designers. In addition, she founded her own company, Dragon Productions, enabling her to further her studies towards eloquent body-language and deepen her knowledge of non-verbal communication skills while creating her own dancetheatre-productions in collaboration with dancers, mime artists, composers, actors, break-dancers, poets etc. and a diverse audience.
Boogaart has created 15 evening length dance pieces since 1994 and numerous smaller choreographies. All her choreographies derive from Boogaarts’ fascination for and study of social themes/patterns and the movement research these bring forth.
