Dr. Kalam Skill Development Centre is promoted by Khandesh College Education society (KCES), Jalgaon, a registered society, since 1944. It offers an extensive range of academic programs at school level, apart from a plethora of courses & programs in higher education that encompasses Arts, Science, Commerce, Law, Education, Management, Engineering, Physical Education streams. It currently operates 22 institutions. Initiative: To develop a hub, Dr. Kalam Skill Development Centre, within the ecosystem of KCES to offer second opportunity of career/ livelihoods for dropouts and failed candidates of mainstream education institutions of KCES. Apart from this captive requirement, DKSDC will serve youth from Khandesh region and for that matter entire India. These candidates would be skill trained through short duration skilling programs, either through self finance mode of Government funded mode. Vision Wage based or self-employment linked sustainable & incremental livelihoods, of choice, for every youth in North Maharashtra and surrounding geographies. Mission To build world class skilling eco-system, which will roll out thousands of Skilled professionals & Entrepreneurs, who would carry torch of India’s economic growth and transform India in to a Global Skills Hub. Role : To Develop & Manage Skill Development eco-system, consisting of programs for schooldrops, ITI, Diploma or Graduates. To facilitate sustainable livelihoods for youths from urban & rural areas and mapping them to Industry for jobs at multiple levels. Responsibilities : Identification of beneficiaries for skilling Industry oriented, quality training in fair & upright manner, with the help of great trainers and modern workshops Certification through NCVT or SSCs Mapping industrial livelihoods to youth Hand-holding with candidates Skill up-gradation of unskilled industry workforce for vertical mobility Fund Raising through Government Partnership Partnerships with CSR of other corporate
