Dongduk Women's University (DWU) is Korea's first private educational institute for women only, originated from Dongwon Girls School (Eui-sook), founded with private capital in 1908. DWU was established based on the main vision of school foundation, which is to carry women's education that honors truth and respects morality. At present, DWU is composed of 8 colleges, 6 departments, 18 majors, 16 departments of majors, and 7 graduate schools. DWU has about 7,500 excellent students 350 faculty members. Also, DWU has produced more than 30,000 graduates who are making active contributions in various fields.
