The District of Timiskaming Social Services Administration Board (DTSSAB) works towards its vision of supporting individuals in need throughout our communities by delivering programs and services through effective use of available resources, in the best interest of our clients/patients.
Our services include, but are not limited to;
• Employment and financial assistance (Ontario Works)
• Affordable housing and homelessness prevention strategies (Social Housing)
• Administration of childcare services and early-learning programs (Children’s Services)
• Provision of land ambulance emergency medical services (EMS).

We are governed by a board of nine officials representing 23 municipalities and two unorganized townships within the District of Timiskaming. The jurisdiction of the DTSSAB covers 13,000 square kilometres and serves approximately 33,000 individuals. DTSSAB offices are located in Kirkland Lake and Temiskaming Shores, and EMS bases are found in Kirkland Lake, Englehart and Temiskaming Shores.
