Diocese Of Bristol Academies Trust

The Diocese of Bristol Academies Trust (DBAT) is a Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) comprising 14 Primary Academies across Bristol, South Gloucestershire, Swindon and Wiltshire Local Authorities. We also have one Secondary Academy in Swindon. DBAT is a vital part of the family of schools across the Church of England's Diocese of Bristol and currently serves c. 3,000 pupils across its Academies. DBAT seeks to preserve the Christian Distinctiveness of schools within the Diocese of Bristol through collaborative and collegiate working between Academies, within the context of a MAT. The Trust will grow as more existing schools convert to take on Academy status, whilst it also seeks to work alongside Local Authorities and the Government's Department for Education in establishing brand new schools in areas of basic need.
