Our mission at Dfolio is to onboard the next 100 Mn contributors for Web3.
Web3 is still considered a niche, developer-centric, tech-heavy ecosystem. Onboarding through non-custodial wallets have high friction due to creating private keys and ensuring loss aversion because of self-ownership.
While there are 1 Bn Internet users, there are only 80 Mn unique addresses in Web3. For Web3 projects and developers to attract users and contributors, the onboarding onto Web3 has to be simpler.
In addition, contributors or superusers of consumer social mediums such as Twitter, Reddit, Discord, Github, LinkedIn etc. have created enough clout but find it difficult to start from scratch in a new eco-system. Due to this friction in switching and non-transferability of clout, these superusers generally drop-off before they onboard onto Web3. As a result, Web3 developers and projects miss out on the opportunity of working with these superusers.
Dfolio provides the bridge for onboarding these superusers onto Web3. While helping in getting credential data from the conventional Web2, Dfolio’s integrated profiling network leverages on the existing on-chain credentials too while building the Dfolio ID.
