The Prince of Wales and Sydney Children's Hospitals employ at total of 12 neurosurgeons and 4 registrars across both campuses. In addition, a host of oustanding nurses, allied health professionals and administrative support staff complete our department, and all are instrumental in our success.
The neurosurgical service at the Prince of Wales and Sydney Children's Hospitals specialises in exceptional patient care in the treatment of adult and paediatric neurological disorders.
Our surgeons and other staff are experts in brain and pituitary tumours, cerebrovascular disease, epilepsy, degenerative spinal diseases and other neurosurgical disorders, as well as trauma of the head, spinal cord and nerves.
Our team brings together world-class neurosurgeons, neuro-intensivists, neuroradiologists, neuro-oncologists and other specialised medical staff who collaborate at every step of patient care, so that from referral and diagnosis to treatment and recovery, patients receive comprehensive, individualised care.
The Department of Neurosurgery has strong ties with the University of New South Wales School of Medicine. We are dedicated not only to patient care, but also to educating the next generation of caregivers and advancing medical research and techniques in neurological surgery.
