The department conducts biostatistical research and development, participates in substantive medical research projects and offers biostatistical advice to PhD students and staff in all disciplines of the Faculty of Health Sciences, to those engaged in experimental and clinical medicine, public health and odontology. The biostatistical research focuses on methods of analysing survival data, longitudinal data, complex measurements in experimental medicine and epidemiology and interobserver variation. The applied statistical collaboration covers all areas of medical research and ranges from short consultations to collaborative projects lasting several years.
