The Institute was the first specialty joint replacement program on the West Coast. For over 25 years the Institute has been committed to delivering the highest quality joint replacement care with the lowest risk of complications. In order to accomplish these goals, we limit our focus to the management of hip, knee and shoulder problems, in order to offer the highest level of care possible. In addition to total and partial joint replacement surgery, we also perform arthroscopic shoulder surgery and complex revision procedures.
We value strong teamwork and have been blessed with a talented and caring group of physician assistants, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists and discharge planners to anticipate and meet the needs of our patients. Our network of home health agencies and outpatient physical therapy clinics will take you all the way to the finishing line.
Our extensive clinic research program investigates the latest technology in less invasive surgical techniques, implant fixation options, alternative bearing surfaces to make joint replacement implants last longer, and implant designs which preserve bone and accommodate the anatomical differences between men and women. We continue to monitor the function of thousands of implants, in order to identify the best materials, designs and techniques. Our data is widely referenced and has been presented all over the world.
