Deacon Case Competition Club was built on the idea of learning through research and experience rather than textbooks and quizzes. Our club members spend the duration of the semester working in groups consisting of 3-5 members. Each group will choose a specific competition tailored towards their focus and passion within finance.
The ultimate goal is for each of our members to develop a more concrete understanding of financial terms and concepts, as well as continuing to develop research and financial modeling abilities. We will gain foundational knowledge on the know-how(s) of pitchbooks, investment banking, financial modeling, and in-depth analysis of real-world problems. Moreover, the case study will advance our interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a group setting.
This upcoming school year is our club’s second year. We plan on using this year to continue gaining members and get our feet wet in the world of highly competitive college case competitions.
