Daastaan is a social impact initiative by the students of NSS, SRCC with a vision to promote the economic and socio-cultural development of the Mahila Mandal community who hail from Solan, Himachal Pradesh. We work towards empowering the women of this community by providing them with the resources and opportunities to showcase their skills and talents.
Our primary focus is on promoting the traditional handicrafts made by the women of the Mahila Mandal community. We believe that these handicrafts are not just a reflection of the rich cultural heritage of our country but also have immense economic potential. Through Daastaan, we strive to connect these skilled artisans with a wider audience and help them earn a livelihood from their craft. Our aim is to create an environment of growth that empowers these women to become self-sufficient and independent.
At Daastaan, we are committed to promoting sustainable and ethical practices in all our activities. We believe that by supporting the Mahila Mandal community, we are not just helping them but also contributing to the larger cause of creating a more equitable and inclusive society.
Join us in our mission to promote the economic and socio-cultural development of the Mahila Mandal community and create a better tomorrow for all.
We are the VOICE that will communicate the beauty of their art to those who value it.
