DTEK Renewables is the operating company managing the renewable energy assets of DTEK Group.
Today, DTEK Renewables is one of the largest electricity producers from the renewable energy sources in Ukraine.
At the end of 2019, the company achieved its strategic goal — 1 GW of solar and wind power capacities.
The structure of the company today includes three wind farms:
The Botievska WPP (200 MW) — commissioned in 2012-2014, equipped with 65 Vestas wind turbines, 3 MW each
The Prymorska WPP (200 MW) — 2019, 52 GE wind turbines, 3.8 MW
The Orlivska WPP (100 MW) — 2019, 26 Vestas wind turbines, 3.8 MW
The Botievska WPP and the Prymorska WPP are the most powerful wind farms in Ukraine and some of the largest in Central and Eastern Europe.
Another enterprise in the DTEK Renewables’ structure is Wind Tech Company that provides wind turbine servicing.
The first company’s solar energy project was the small Trifanovska SPP, and two years later company commissioned two of the largest solar power plants in Ukraine and some of the largest in Europe — the Pokrovska SPP and the Nikopolska SPP:
The Trifanovska SPP (10 MW) — 2017, 37 thousand solar panels
The Nikopolska SPP (200 MW) — 2019, 750 thousand solar panels
The Pokrovska SPP (240 MW) — 2019, 873 thousand solar panels
The forecasted output in 2020 is 2.5 billion kWh — this is enough to provide electricity to more than 1.25 million households during the year. The use of this energy allows avoiding the equivalent of 2.6 million tons of CO2 emissions.
