The Dublin Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals was established in 1840 and is Ireland’s oldest and largest animal welfare charity in the Republic of Ireland.
Each year the DSPCA receives more than 120,000 phone calls from the public, responds to more than 10,000 emergency calls and rescues, rehabilitates, releases and rehomes thousands of animals and wildlife.
Every single day of the year, we work tirelessly to rescue all animals from a lifetime of cruelty, neglect and pain.
The DSPCA is Ireland’s largest animal welfare organisation and has been serving the public since 1840. We are a non-profit registered charity and rely on donations to meet our nearly €3 million annual budget.
