DIPD is an institute established by law by the Danish Parliament in May 2010. It works to contribute to the development of well-functioning democratic political parties, multi-party systems and other institutions as central stakeholders in the democratic culture of selected developing countries.
The Danish Institute for Parties and Democracy works to develop and further democratic institutions in political systems and civil society focusing on media, young people, elections, gender and human rights. It brings together individuals, groups and political parties to share ideas, knowledge and experiences and supports projects that strengthen a democratic culture. DIPD also participates in partnerships with organisations specialised in support for political parties.
