The District of Columbia College Access Program (DC-CAP), founded in 1999, is a privately funded non-profit organization. Our mission is to encourage and enable District of Columbia public and public charter high school students to enroll in and graduate from college.
DC-CAP provides direct counseling and financial assistance to students who might otherwise never have the opportunity to go to college. The overwhelming majority of the students served by DC-CAP are from low-income, minority, single-parent households and are the first in their families to attend college. We help DC students believe that college is possible, find the path to get there, and complete their education.
