Czech Association For Geoinformation

Czech Assocation for Geoinformation [CAGI] is a non-profit professional national umbrella organization active continuously in Geoinformatics. Its mission is to monitore, disseminate, iniciate, promote, and develop progressive methods, tools and organisational processess in NSDI to get an effective production and re-use of metainformation in all level GIS in the Czech Republic. To get the geodata and geoinformation more accessible, in better and clear quality. To develop the GI market, to share expertize and special knowledge internationally. CAGI members work in focused special commissions and working groups, e.g. standardization, terminology, conferences and workshops, education and edification, public administration, spatial planning etc. Membership in the association is open for both natural and legal persons working with geodata, geographic information systems (GIS) and related technologies, for people who are actively building spatial data infrastructure.
