Cornerstone Healthcare provides care for vulnerable people who present with challenging behaviours associated with complex neurological and mental health needs. We are able to support people with long term degenerative conditions as they progress. We provide a service to those for whom little is available due to the complexity of their needs for those who suffer with neurodegenerative disorder (dementia's and other neurological diseases) and neuropsychiatric disorders. What makes us unique? · Seeing beyond the diagnosis to the individuals complex needs and the effects of co-morbidity · We look at the whole presentation of the person, their challenges around behaviour and do not discriminate on diagnosis · Consideration of those whom others have rejected · We continue to care for residents until the end of life. Once admitted the service becomes their home · Focus on de-escalation and distraction to comply with Restraint Reduction Initiative. · A proactive and robust framework for reducing 1:1 dependency with ongoing reviews and assessments
