ConnectUs (CU) McGill is a unique club focused on providing authentic student experiences, giving back to the community and preparing students for their professional careers. Our goal is to connect our team of McGill students with local small businesses and nonprofits to help address their existing organizational challenges (operations, profitability, management, marketing, strategy, etc.).
Club members will work in teams throughout the semester, drafting and refining business proposals and implementation plans to present to the organization. As a result, students gain tangible experiences that facilitate the development of necessary soft skills like collaboration, leadership and communication. In addition, theoretical knowledge of business management and strategy is strengthened through numerous CU McGill workshops from professors and guest speakers. Topics range from case analyses and financial modelling to public speaking.
CU McGill is open to all faculties. We believe that individuals of all academic backgrounds offer insightful perspectives vital to consulting. No matter your major or discipline, we encourage you to get involved. CU McGill strives to reinforce the need for collaboration between faculties. Students will have the opportunity to collaborate, problem-solve, and, most importantly, learn from one another, in an engaging environment, under unique circumstances.
