The Confederation shall be named Confederación Americana de Urología, was established in the year 1935 in Brazil, and legally registered on March 9th, 1970 in the city of Rio de Janeiro. It is a scientific, non-profit Confederation that groups the Societies or Associations of Urology of the American Countries and the Iberian Peninsula.
The current 2010 mission is to reach the highest quality of assistance for urology patients, according to the latest scientific evidence provided by the recommendations of the Clinical and Health Safety Guides.
Tasks of the CAU:
To award Training and Investigation Grants - To sponsor Courses, Symposiums and Congresses - Scientific and Economic Support for National Congresses - Exchange and Rotation of Residents among the different Countries - Registration in Congresses conducted by member countries of the CAU - Advanced Course of Urogynecology - Annual CAU Congresses - Spanish Urology Magazine, Official Organism of the CAU - CAU Video Library.
