Comprobe are the makers of G-RAD - Gyroscopic Rig Alignment Device The Gyroscopic Rig Alignment Device (G-RAD) provides an innovative way to accurately determine the azimuth and inclination of drill collars during or after rig installation. G-RAD uses Fiber Optic Gyroscopic technology to obtain geographic North azimuth to ±0.2° and inclination to ±0.1°. The G-RAD can operate either underground or on the surface. G-RAD is designed to be used in high traffic terrain. Includes durable iPad with touch screen. Connects via Bluetooth. When used during the installation of the drilling machine the G-RAD can be mounted on drill rods or in the tower.
