Community Intercultural Programme (CIP) began its life in Sept 2006 (formally Craigavon Intercultural Programme) in response to the emerging needs of the Ethnic Communities in the Craigavon area. CIP is committed to the social inclusion of all migrants and seeks to be a catalyst in promoting innovation and opportunities for community development. We believe CIP can offer practical assistance to the local ethnic communities, thereby creating a better society by integrating all members of these communities regardless of race/nationality into local life.
CIP is a registered charity and is governed by a Management Committee.
MISSION
CIP is committed to build bridges between diverse communities through
the medium of education, sport, cultural and information exchange.
VISION
CIP’s vision is of an inclusive society in the local area, which contributes to social cohesion and equality for all.
CIP is a community based group composed of representatives from culturally and linguistically diverse communities. The group offers a range of services to the ethnic communities, who have chosen to reside in Craigavon and the surrounding areas . CIP aims to establish an information and knowledge network which will contribute to building an equitable society which respects difference and celebrates diversity.
