Since 2012, Communities In Schools of Appalachian Highlands has been dedicated to surrounding students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. As an independent affiliate of the Communities in Schools national network, CIS of Appalachian Highlands connect students and their families to basic and critical community resources, tailored to each student’s specific needs.
We work inside the school building every day to remove the barriers that prevent student success in the classroom. In partnership with our local schools and our communities, our team provides critical support to students in grades PK–12 to address academics, school attendance, behavioral issues, social emotional learning and much more.
