Combat Kangas is a player-versus-player, strategic, deck building card game with a fighter/beat ‘em up inspired aesthetic, and a fresh take on the chaos of the card battler genre. It’s a game where you bring together cards from one of three factions to build the most kickass deck imaginable and test it against friend and foe alike. It has kangas, dingoes and many other critters, all itching to get stuck into a brawl!
The three contrasting factions and the plethora of cards available offer a diverse range of playstyles. From an unyielding defence, to an overwhelming offence, to every sneaky, chaotic and esoteric strategy in between, Combat Kangas lets the player do battle in their own way.
But, every team in a brawl needs a leader, and you get to choose who that leader is. Players will always take a character card into battle as an avatar, representing their will to fight and win. Character cards are enormously powerful and exceptional without question. Just like any real fighter, they can train to become stronger and more powerful. Players can upgrade their character cards and customise them to suit their playstyle by working through their talent tree. This is done by progressing through the single player story of Combat Kangas: The Way of the Paw.
The Way of the Paw tells the story of a young kanga with a big destiny, Kanga Lee. Players will get to experience and even fight through some of Lee’s wildest battles as they uncover the strange history of his people and the crazy world he finds himself in, while getting stronger and improving their own abilities in the game.
Combat Kangas takes inspiration from some of the giants in the strategy card game genre, such as Hearthstone, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Pokémon Trading Card Game and Magic: The Gathering, but brings its own unique spin. It is simply a brawl. Fast, frenetic and chaotic.
